Aimee starting again: take 3

Aimee is amazing. Through all the slings and arrows, she kept her job as a canvasser and was able to pay rent for a storage area. She kicked the addiction on December 18, got into a detox program, was given support to get into an apartment of her own, moved in, collected her plants from a friend who kept them for her, and today I helped her to put her living room in order. She has a fantastic rooftop view, and tomorrow Sue will go back with me and help her put her bed together.

The music on her keyboard (Extra #1) is Pachelbel's Canon, a wonderfully soothing piece; and in her kitchen she has a picture of herself at the age of eight, (Extra #2) next to one of the "oil drops" made by Liz Harris for a protest she and Aimee staged in 2021. Aimee is doing her best to honor that child and to bring back her own identity as an artist. I'm rooting for her.
