A hard day's night

Today was an hectic day, but only in fatiguing and fruitless ways. Nothing serious, just too many hours spent downtown amidst swarms of  tourists, mostly Brazilians that come to Ciudad del Este to shop for electronics and textiles. I needed the most ubiquitous and simple of lenses, a Canon EF 50mm 1.8 in any version, but could not find it. In a city where you probably could get even an M16 rifle, and with hundreds of electronic goods vendors, most of whom carry Canon cameras and lenses, there was no nifty fifty to be found. At least the glowing dusk was a balm for the soul, and the only opportunity to snap an interesting picture.
