A very enjoyable afternoon.

I checked the stairs this morning and the paint is looking good so I won’t need to apply a third top coat.  I decided that we shouldn’t use the stairs until tomorrow to give the paint a chance to really harden up.

MrMacD baked sourdough bread and I made seeded crackers to make the best use of the oven while it was on.  A load of washing was done and hung out in the sunshine to dry.  We sorted out a few admin items, then went for a short ride on our electric bikes to start the process of getting cycle fit and hardening up our bottoms.

We just had time for an apple and a slice of fresh bread before showering, changing and walking down to the Harbour Street Collective Café where a band was playing rock and roll and blues from 2pm to 5pm.  There were eight of us in our group and we had a most enjoyable afternoon chatting, drinking coffee and bubbles and doing lots of dancing.  Such fun!  Afterwards four of us walked around to the Victoria Lounge for another drink, a bowl of fries and more chatting.  Then we walked back up the hill, gathered in the washing, had a light supper and settled down to catch up on the news and play Quordle.
