Twelfth Night

This is a late posting, as I was a bit emotional and too tired to concentrate.

We had a relaxing morning, then decided to brave the rain to go out for a walk.  Fortunately, we have good waterproof jackets but, even so, we were pleased to jump into a hot shower when we returned home.

Sister and brother-in-law arrived to pick me up to go to the church to go through the order of service with the priest.  Sister brought her sourdough and the prepared starter to mix in and left them in the capable hands of MrMacD.  The meeting took a lot longer than I thought and we didn’t get back home until about 3:30pm.  I had a quick nibble on some crackers and broad bean dip, we had a coffee, then set off to do some shopping.

The weather has been dreich all day and I feel so sorry for everyone who’s gone on their summer holiday to various parts of New Zealand that are being hit hard by the rain and wind.  The weather, certainly for Auckland, is most unseasonal.  I rather suspect that climate change has something to do with it.

The blip shows our Christmas cards for 2022, and a calendar sent by our lovely blip friend, Mima, which have all been taken down, as it’s twelfth night.
