HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE SILLY SATURDAY GANG

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We know that the New Year started on Monday of this week, but this is the first Silly Saturday of 2024, so we thought we would have a few fireworks to say Happy New Year to you all.  We hope that 2024 will bring you all you need and that you will remember to BE KIND ALWAYS.

New Year is a time for people to forgive and forget and to move forward into a completely new year with a clean slate and so we have decided that we would shake hands and give everyone a BIG hug and forget all the petty quarrels that we had last year.

Of course, Kevin the Koala and all the others who have gone with him to Australia, celebrated New Year before us and we even had a text from him when it was still 31st December here - which was quite strange and some may say, even silly - and we are sure that Admirer would have smiled at that.  He said to wish you all a very Happy New Year from Oz and the members of the Silly Saturday Gang, who are having a great time.

You might wonder what all the “stuff” is that we are sitting on - well, Mr. & Mrs. HCB’s lovely neighbour, Lynn, is sorting out.  The HCBs know that when that happens, she turns up at their kitchen door, which is underneath the carport that they share, with armfuls of stuff and says “I’ve got more for the charity shop!”  This time she said she had lots of lovely things for Mrs. HCB to take to church for the children to use when they make cards or do craft work.  For the eagle-eyed among you, you will even see some Easter chicks, and I’m sure they will be very useful in March.

You might also see in front of Baby Jay and to the side of Reeth the dog, a little Bunny Rabbit named Tumbletuft Bunny - this was given to Mrs. HCB for her birthday by her grandson and his girlfriend - they said that they thought she would like to be a member of the Gang - and of course, we welcomed her with open arms - we think she will get on well with the other bunny, CC, short for Crafty Colin, who has gone to Australia with Kevin and the others.

SO, remember - and we hope you won’t mind us saying this again - BE KIND TO EVERYONE YOU MEET, because you don’t know what they are going through.  People may smile, but that can often hide some sadness and if you are kind to them, it will make such a difference.

With love from ALL the Silly Saturday Gang xxx

P.S.  You may remember that Laura Lamb went to Hong Kong with Zach and his Mum and Dad - well she's now back, but we're  not sure whether she will be staying with Zach at his house or coming back to be with us - they seem very fond of one another!
