The Few

We visited the Battle of Britain Memorial to the Few - a tribute to the
nearly 3,000 Allied aircrew known to have qualified for the 1939-1945 Star with Battle of Britain Clasp – known as ‘the Few’.

Beside it is The Wall which contains the names of all those aircrew known to have flown at least one sortie with an accredited squadron or unit of the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain in 1940.

The busts are a tribute to Air Chief Marshal Sir Hugh Dowding and Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Park
