No Crocs

We had a free day in Sydney today so this morning we did a bit of local exploring.
Mr isbi said the last time he went to Birkenhead Point he discovered CDs which was the latest new thing. It's a big retail area on the Parramatta River which seems to specialize in factory outlets. Lots of shops and shoppers which isn't really our thing but we had a look around and bought some sushi to eat on the waterfront. Cheap food court take away in a fine dining location.
After that we ended up at Blackman Park on the Lane Cove river. It appears to be reclaimed land with extensive sporting fields. The blip is of the river there and it flatters it a bit. It's quite swampy with a smell to match. It reminded me of similar looking spots in the Northern Territory where you wouldn't get out of the car for fear of crocodiles.
This afternoon we had a pleasant drink at Rosehill Golf Club with a long lost uni mate of Mr isbi.
Dinner out at Papaya Thai restaurant in Cammeray.
