Dancing the night away

A lively and very Occitan few hours at the opening evening of the Total Festum weekend at Neffiès, with Du Bartas the main attraction, the third time we've seen them perform and this time they even had Lo Jardinièr dancing - a rare event, even though he loves listening to music! There was food and wine, friends from our village and from villages around, a lot of talk and laughter in Occitan and French, a wonderful a capella trio who came round the tables at the beginning of the evening singing in Occitan, and there was dancing, of course. There's a link here to one of the songs Du Bartas sang, appropriately enough in this wine-making village about vines, wine and vendangeurs with its chorus that includes the words 'Dança sens t'arrestar' (dance without stopping) after the grapes have been gathered in.
