Bluetits

I joined the Manchester Bluetits at Cowbury this morning. I joined their fb group a long time ago, but this was the first time I’ve done one of their swims. They were a nice bunch, but they all knew each and it is always hard being the new girl.

I’d had to scrape the ice off the car before I left and it was really cold at Cowbury. The water temp was 5-6° and I was in for about 10-15 minutes…it was enough lol. I had loads of layers to put on and the walk to and from the car always helps. The pathway was strewn with fallen trees after the freak tornado last week. We had to duck under, climb over and go round the trees which made it all the fun really.
