On The Banks of the Trent

Felt a little better this morning but still feeling rather rough at times so a steady morning was had.
This afternoon we made the  longer than normal journey over to Retford to Visit Jeri and the family. Due to the Trent flooding the main road over Dunham bridge so we had to go down to Newark and then up the A1 . While we was on our way  Julie noticed a text from Jeri to say she was running late so to head over a little later. As we was on our way it was not worth heading back so as we travelled I kept my eyes open for a possible blip. As we travelled up the A! I spotted a lovely looking Church so decided to turn off and get some shots. We decided to have a little look around the village and grabbed some more shots as I wasn't happy with the church shot. This shot shows what should be a footpath leading to the banks of the river Trent . The  Trent its self runs where the trees are with the fields behind them also flooded . We then carried on our journey to enjoy a lovely afternoon celebrating  Jeri's birthday which was yesterday. We watched some FA Cup football which saw Arsenal miss lots of chances and ended up getting beat by Liverpool 2-0
Back home now making the same journey back and now chilling .
Finally a big thankyou to the Blip community for highlighting my shot from the Santa run for the Joy challenge much appreciated
