In-Flight Snack Plus Snow

The light was very poor this morning. I saw a red kite approaching and started taking some shots. The bird appeared to be struggling for some reason. It wasn't until I looked at my shots on screen that I saw what had been happening. It had the leg and foot of a bird in its talons and had decided to have an in-flight snack. The bird's foot can be seen transferred to its beak in my image.

It is much colder than of late and we have had some snow flurries here in Essex.
