Calm

Today is the calm before the storm. Yesterday’s birthday reveling kept us from shoveling out Sunday’s storm, so that’s what happened today, along with a quick trip to the Post Office. Wet snow is on the way tonight with a changeover to rain tomorrow, along with high winds. Not a good recipe. We’re concerned for more flooding and power outages • As expected the feeders have been nonstop all day long bringing in a variety of birds: goldfinches, house finches, juncos, chickadees, titmice, white-throated sparrows, starlings, cardinals, bluebirds, nuthatches, hairy and downy woodpeckers…did I forget anybody? • Peace & Love from Maine
