Birthday celebrations starting early, this year

For various reasons, we had to start the Ottawacker Jr. birthday celebrations a bit early - and the first out of the blocks were his godparents in Victoria, BC. A fine haul has been had - and it's not every kid that starts dancing up and down because he gets a new pair of gloves. In this case, however, they were goalkeeping gloves... so you can understand the excitement. He's a lucky boy... not least to have such generous extended family out there.

Meanwhile, the first serious snow has started. Only 20 cm, but after a winter devoid of snow or any other real form of precipitation, I fear the worst: I have to drive Ottawacker Jr. to his practice this evening....
