Shortbread

Rain kept me inside today, but I put my time to good use. Took down the Christmas tree and packed almost everything away, did a couple loads of laundry, built a nice fire. Oh, and shortbread.

I will miss turning the tree lights on when I get up in the morning. It’s been nice to have that warm twinkling presence while I putter around. Turning on a lamp just isn’t the same.
