I was looking for things that were derelict around this area and found this. Joe and I went there late morning and really thought it was cool!  This was the original mission founded by Father Kino  in 1697 who was a Jesuit Priest.  The people really loved him because he had a heart for the people.  The King of Spain decided to get rid of the Jesuit priests because they were not in alignment with corruption and taxation of the people and  what not that the King wanted.  He had them removed and many killed.    Alot of the O'odom people left and settled North of there and set up a new life.  The mission was operated with out a priest for 20 years.
Joe and I enjoyed going down there.  It's only 3 miles past Tubac and a lot closer than  I thought!   A good day today!!
Thanks to Bob with the theme of OLD.   I think this will work!   Check out the extras.  The dome, Father Kino and the inside of the Church.
