Latrine swith a difference

Many NZers will recognise this shot as the Hundertwasser toilets in Kawakawa. Hundertwasser was an eccentric Austrian artist who settled in NZ after the second WW (he was Jewish). He actually signed his artistic exhibits with many related names, none of which he was born with. Despite living a humble life here in NZ, living an unequivocally a ‘green’ lifestyle he believed in recyclin his own waste and putting gardens on the top of all buildings. He never married and died unexpectedly on his way to picking up an an art award in Europe, bizarrlely on the QE2.
