I didn't really want to post another bird blip, but the unexpected drizzle has limited us to just a quick dry dash around the district, where I caught this curlew.
Numbers of said avian have declined by around 30% in the last decade, and they're now on the conservation red list. Shocking to realise that they used to be plentiful, and up until the mid 1940's, were available in butchers' shops. In Cornwall, curlew pies were commonly made or sold.
