Aquafit

Started the morning a bit wrong-we waited for our tour pick up for nearly 20 mins until the rep pointed out we’d misremembered the instructions and were an hour late-d’oh!
She managed to swap us for tomorrow though so we reverted to the pool. Much sunnier than we expected from the weather app so we dozed, read, swam and did some more of our tournament (very off form though-we couldn’t a run of more than 25!). I then joined in the aqua-fit again…the entertainment staff here really work hard!
We got changed and had some lunch before taking a taxi into town for a wander. We walked around the main streets and only got accosted once by someone wanting to show us his carvings and paintings ‘all by my own hand’ (aye right!!).
We walked along the beach, watching the locals body boarding and in the distance the many kitesurfers. Stopped off at an Irish pub as a joke for T to send a photo of us to his Irish friend, then taxi back again by which time it was cloudy. T went to bed for a sleep and I lay on a daybed reading the next book group book (Wrong Way by Joanne McNeil). Took me a while to get into and I haven’t warmed at all to the narrator but I read about three quarters of it til my phone ran out of battery (reading on the Kindle app). Went to the flat and charged it a bit whilst we played a daft ‘conversation’ card game, then back to the restaurant for supper. T may try again to see his friend at the other hotel…he wasn’t feeling too good yesterday apparently…but we need an early start tomorrow if we’re to catch the tour bus this time!
