Timeless!

I am back in my home village once again, on a late afternoon walk I took this image.  Previously at some point I would have taken a variant of this view.  It's timeless, in the foreground the gable end of what used to be the newsagents, which unfortunately closed almost two years ago.  To the extreme left is the bottom of The Brae and some of the oldest buildings in the village, then the Old Railway Hotel, now known as Davidson's Bar.  Right at the back is the old orphanage flying the Union Flag and in-between is Railway Terrace.  This view has not changed over the years, in 1850 it would have looked just the same.

There is a lot to be said for late afternoon sunlight.
