Welcome Back

This skilfully carved fox appeared on the bench today at Hackney Marshes, near Newton Abbot. We have never seen it before but apparently it was there until 2016 when it was vandalised. It has now been repaired and replaced after seven years.
A Robin got in on the photo.
Thank you to the artist. Even in the short time we were there people expressed their joy that the fox was back.
We walked on from there to Teigngrace and had a sandwich at M T Tums cafe. A remarkable thing happened there. The cafe made of old containers looks out on an unprepossessing piece of scrub, formerly land belonging to the goods railway, and now a nature trail. In a wild and scruffy buddleia there were four bullfinches to look at. A world record as far as we are concerned.
