ring bill gull

Drove out to Stewart Park in Ithaca and Sapsucker Woods today even though it was darn cold because it was sunny. Gotta go for those blue skies when you can. Sapsucker was pretty empty except for the feeders with the usual feeder birds , but the lake had a large raft of mixed ducks including some scoters and a lot of gulls. The extra is a landed gull close up . The extra extra is a winter wren atthe woods . Not a great photo but it's my first winter wren sighting! oops had to edit forgot the extras . duh.
