Monday: George Price Day

It was a public holiday today, George Price Day, named after the ‘Father Of The Nation’, the Prime Minister who took Belize to independence.

In relation to that, I had an event to attend in Orange Walk, namely the opening of an exhibition related to George Price.  Humberto picked me up at 0800 and we were back by early afternoon.  This was the cultural element in between all the speeches.

The rest of the day was nicely relaxed with some pool time.  We also finished ‘Fool Me Once’ on Netflix and enjoyed picking apart all the major plot holes and loose ends.  Despite that, we actually did enjoy it.

Finished book 2 of the year today: The Woman They Wanted, by our friend, Shannon.  I have to say, even if she wasn’t a friend, I’d think it was very good.  It was also surprisingly funny in parts.
