Positive Thinking!

A quiet day reading poetry.  This is one of my favourites from a book I must've bought second-hand thirty or so years ago.  The student owner (Isabel MacGilvray) hasn't put a date after her name but the book was published in 1934 so it could be about 99 years old  -  still in excellent condition. Why Positive Thinking?  Well, here's one of my favourite poems translated  -  not by me but by the book's author  -  to me it just seems to mirror the state of the world today:
Let sunshine your heart fill,
   Though snow-storms are rife,
Though the sky is o'er-clouded,
   The earth full of strife,
Let sunshine your heart fill,
   Then, come what come may,
Its light will illumine
   The gloomiest day.
