.....And then it snowed.....

A blast from Antarctica hit New Zealand with the 'mother' of all storms, rain pelting down, gale force winds with torrential seas and to top it off snow with bitter temperatures.

It was overnight that Daughter A's bedroom window blew in in Wellington exposing all her belongings to the elements and whoever wanted to help themselves. There was one flatmate at home frightened to her wits end as the old house rumbled and shook through the night, not through earthquakes but a severe polar blast. Daughter A was in the South Island with us, thankfully through the course of the day her window has been fixed.

This image is taken out the back of Oxford in North Canterbury, snow fell yesterday, since then there has been much rain and wind so not as dramatic as it was.

Keep warm kiwis and stay safe :)
