Snow

Well, the predicted Arctic effect has arrived. Berry was in heaven on our walk and there were interesting features outlined on the commonplace, like this fencepost's knotholes.

Golf was unsurprisingly cancelled so I got on with other boring miscellaneous jobs, cleaning and washing, mainly.  Got to be done. Chris lifted the parsnip crop before the snow arrived (extra). They look pretty fearsome but tasted lovely this evening, roasted. We wonder if the fact we bought them as seedlings then transplanted them meant they ended up this gruesome after some root disturbance as the soil is quite decent and shouldn't have caused this fun and games!
