Curves Everywhere

Our home has curves everywhere. All of the windows and the main entrance have arched openings. All part of the original design.

The new construction that we introduced includes curves which form openings and also form curved walls. Today’s entry shows this very clearly.

The curved walls are formed to curve around the cast iron columns which support the original balconies. All of the columns remain visible, but often are a surprise to our friends who discover them for the first time.

There are eight columns, but there are no more than two visible in any space or room.

Although there are no columns on the upper levels the curved wall theme is maintained. Some of these curves are formed on both sides of walls and some form ducts for plumbing pipes, heat recovery ducts, and other delights.

This is Architecture.

The weather remains sunny and bright but cold.
