“Oh, the Things that You See…”

The kids all had work or errands so we enjoyed an idle morning at the hotel. It was only 9°F outside; we were happy to stay in and enjoy the full breakfast offered here. We read quietly until time to pick up Mike. Hubby took us to lunch and then for a scenic journey out in the country for my blip. He remembered this cute garage designed like a covered bridge and thought it would be an ideal sight with surrounding snow. He was correct. Of course, the country road had not been cleared and we skidded sideways on the ice until hubby put the car in 4-wheel drive. We went back to the hotel and sat by the warm fireplace until time to meet Bob and his children. We are going to dinner at my favorite BBQ restaurant in this area. We have not found better wings. We expect more bad weather for our drive tomorrow and Friday. I forgot to mention yesterday that the Florida tornado touched down five miles from where Renee was visiting, thank you Lord. Did not get damage reports. And Mancil arrived home safely at 3:00 am, later than expected but the driver was being particularly cautious on the snowy roads. I was awake until 2:00 am and getting concerned that he hadn’t written. He texted me as soon as he got home. Glad to have everyone safe. Worry is such a waste of time; wish I could avoid it. Hoping you are warm and safe wherever you are. Thanks for stopping by. I will try to read journals when we get back here later tonight. idle hour." - JOHN BOSWELL
