Blue Pool

I had a second day of working on my egg tempera painting. I applied washes of colour to warm up the figure, and started to paint in the background.

The transparency of the paint layers and the lack of interference with layers underneath is very useful for water effects or casting things in shade.

I'm not sure I'll get to finish this one though, unless I buy myself some pigments to work with at home. I'll look into it...

Watched: "Promising Young Woman", on the back of "Saltburn", also directed by Emerald Fennell. A bit of an on-the-nose film, but fun!
