Glass swirls

The storms for the weekend (and by the looks of the local forecast - most of next week) moved in today. We managed a trip to Carlisle to look at new front doors (for our proposed porch extension) and to do the weekly shop. True to form, the camera came with me, but with the weather we had, didn't get taken out of the car until we got back home. 

I experimented with lighting a glass paperweight for a couple of hours - getting light onto the paperweight wasn't the issue, but bringing out the textures and avoiding reflections of the light / diffusers was less straightforward.
