This'n'That

Slow melt continues

Another misty rainy day,  and the snow is melting. You can see the difference in the amount around this sign in the second extra on January 19.
What an exciting final in the Grand Slam of Curling Canadian Open. We've been watching as the Scottish and Canadian teams make it to the quarter finals, semi finals and finals. There were three of each in the quarters, two in the semis, and the winner was...Bruce Mouat's team (see extra)!  We were hoping for the Scottish teams in every game. Too bad that Mouat played Whyte, also from Sterling, in the semis. What an excellent final it was, right down to the last rock, a nail-biter. Any curling fans who are interested in seeing Mouat's last rock to clinch the win can have a look at the short video here.
