Decapitation day

I was surprised he was still there, standing quietly in front of the atlases and map books. Perhaps he was planning alternative routes for his next trip. This afternoon, though, J decided it was time to decapitate him, and sunk her teeth into the creamy milk chocolate with great relish. She has had a better day today, and been thinking constructively about her plans and goals for the coming year, and I've done a few of the jobs I didn't complete yesterday. We've tried a bit more gel printing too, not very successfully - it's a lot harder than it looks in the tutorials, but we're learning as we fail and having fun rolling paint and blending colours.

It's been chilly and very windy today, and the wind is whipping round the house and through the trees this evening. I hope we'll not wake up to fallen trees or power lines. For now, we are cosy but using a lot of fuel to keep ourselves and the house warm.
