Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather, by Jacqueline Winspear, is a mystery novel set in 1929 London. I haven't read it so I can't comment on its meaning in the story but according to the saying, birds of a feather stick together.

I stayed and watched these two birds in the photo for a while. They seemed happy in each other's company, exploring the dam wall, foraging and just hanging out. No species barrier for them. 

My extra is the original colour photo as I didn't want you to miss out on the coot's red beak and matching legs.
