Celtic Connections day 4

We’d agreed last night that we would have a lazy day so didn’t leave the hotel until almost 12. We headed back to the sane cafe that we found yesterday and were lucky enough to secure our ‘regular’ table. The waitress remembered us and we had a second delicious brunch. It was a bit wet when we finally dragged ourselves away so the menfolk headed back to the hotel and Linda and I mooched round M&S and Fraser for an hour or so making a few small purchases.

Time for a small nap before an early dinner in the hotel restaurant and a quick trot up Buchanan street to the concert hall for the evening’s musical offering, Roaming Roots. The programme was curated by Roddy Hart and featured the RSC orchestra with guest appearances by Eddie Reader, Justin Currie, Hamish Hawk, Brown Bear and Admiral Falliw amongst several others. A stunning evening and a great end to our weekend.

We had a nightcap in the pub along the street from the hotel where I blipped the extra which I assume they use to clear out stragglers!

Backblipped Monday for Sunday.
