Pod Prodder

Just a work day, but I sowed some January seeds in evening, so my sketch is of a mysterious planting woman (or lemon attached to a body) from Pieter Bruegel's drawing "Spring", 1565.

My seeds are aquilegia, craspedia globosa, digitalis alba, oxlip and Swiss chard. I've not tried any of these before so have no idea if they'll germinate. I find it hard to believe that these pinprick-size seeds will turn into plants, but that's just the mystery!

Watched "Philadelphia", dir. Jonathan Demme. A very good film, with a '60s Hollywood feel.
