Still Life

This afternoon I went to Strathclyde University's Centre for Lifelong Learning aka the 3Ls. My new art class began this week "Taking your Pastels Further". This week's lesson was to set up and draw a still life using flowers which the tutor had brought in. This is so much more fun than working from a photograph, though the first thing is to take photo for when the flowers begin to wilt. Mine are now at home in a vase of water and the tutor, Elaine, said to take home the green napkin I was using as a background. Tomorrow I can take it all to the Village Club art group and try to finish it.
