This little cricket was amazing in its colouring - a robe of glittering gold - the empire cricket's new clothes ...

We were supposed to go to the Valley of Olus in the Pyrénées today - but honourable son had difficulty getting up after his mega-sport-a-thon yesterday - so we left him.

This afternoon we went out to Lac de Gouyre - a nice place in the Tarn and Garonne department.
Along the way we were adopted by a border collie for a few hours until she was chased away by a big Beauceron ...
