Thawing Out

It was supposed to snow, only a few inches, but it turned out to be rain which left everything dripping wet. I was drawn to the lichen on this buckthorn trunk that stood out in the general gloom of the afternoon. 

Still buckets of snow about, although now temps have risen to near freezing, I hope it will start to disappear. It was heavy going walking in a foot of soft wet snow and I was glad to get back.
