After the rain

A gentle day with a wander around Westonbirt Arboretum. Unusually empty of humans, the trees shared space with a couple of deer and a hare that I utterly failed to get a photograph of. I liked the way the light caught this leaf, and it was pretty much my only shot of the day.

If only all the world was as peaceful as this leaf. But, perhaps, not as dead.
