Marm

Where there was once this... now there is a basket full of marmalade!!  It is so heavy I can barely lift it and certainly don't trust the handle of my home made basket !!
Today has mostly been communicating between absent neighbours.  A friend in the village had come by to tell us she had noticed the fence into a horse field had been cut and meant the animals might have been able to escape.  Also she noticed the neighbour on the other side had all his gates open.. very unusual as they are not currently in residence.  It was kind of her to talk to us about it and I have been trying to piece together what may have happened.  The gates may all be coincidence but the wheelbarrow in the field was odd and the fence being cut was vandalism.. the cctv turned on at 1am but it was incredibly windy so it might have been anything flying past.. nothing was spotted on the video. Strange and rather a creepy feeling and we are all on the lookout and alert incase.  Thankfully the gates neighbour is returning this evening and we hope there hasn't been a burglary there..

(Foot unable to be in a shoe.. and needs to remain elevated to reduce pain)

Sewing and seeing someone special made my day a happy one.. oh, and happy Burns night.. my husband dashed out to get a haggis and returned triumphant only to discover it contained wheat.. arghgh.. sweetly he dashed out on the hunt again and came home even more triumphant with a wheat free one.. so now the wait to cook them both!! and there will be seconds for us both tomorrow!!  Haggis rissoles? :D
