Tiny Miracles

Less than a week ago, my mother‘s garden was covered in ice and snow. But these little beauties not only survived, but flowered underneath it all, and emerged from the snow in full bloom. Isn’t that remarkable?

My photo doesn’t do them justice, though. I had been shopping for my mother and her carer E, and was on my way to the house, but didn’t want to put the shopping bags down on the wet ground, so it was a rather awkward blip. I thought to try again on my way out, but it rained by then.
