Living on the roof of Scotland

This cheerful and colourful plover likes to nest on the tops of the Scottish hills. Not just on them, but right at the top. This one is on Sgurr Breac (999m) - another one of the Fannich hills.

Today we managed two tops, the weather was slightly nicer to us but afforded us only glimpsed views through small breaks in the cloud.
