Anatole's blips

An uncommon view out the kitchen window

A reasonable weather forecast resulted it our battling up a hill in a gentle rain against the wind with us constantly reminding each other that 'things should improve'. At the summit of Meall a'Craisgaidh (934m) there was enough visibility for us to see the clouds scouring the top of the next peak towering over 160m above us and also the drop to the beallach between. The wind was such that we scuttled over the top and into the relative calm of the beallach and decided to leave the further peaks to another day. We made it back to the car just as the weather was getting decidedly worse quite contrary to the BBC and MWIS forecasts.

But back at the cottage over a hot cup of tea I got my blip for the day out of the kitchen window. Sorry - not the best shot, but I nearly missed them all together.
