My new slow cooker is large enough to try cooking a whole chicken, so I thought that I'd give it a spin. The recipes I checked referred to it as "roasting" but it's steaming really. The result is like the boiled chicken that we were taught to cook at catering college. You'll notice that I've finally got hold of some butcher's twine and I went with red & white so that it's easy to find when the roast is cooked.

Otherwise, I've done some marking, not a particularly exciting day.
