A Day of Making .

A relaxed start to the day with Day 15 of yoga with Adriene and then a spot of bird watching from the comfort of our little holiday home .
Later , after a substantial breakfast, J and D went food shopping whilst K and I made a new path, with the snowshoes , up the hillside behind the homestead. We spotted tracks , thought they might be fox or Lynx as they were very neat and carefully placed . Higher up we found fox tracks which were much smaller so we suspect the first tracks had indeed been left by a Lynx passing by. There were elk and deer tracks too .
Later, I started off some sauerkraut with the help of Keith who has made it many times . I thought that if I made it here I would be more likely to have a go at home . The chopping , massaging and pummelling of the cabbage was deeply satisfying.
Later still , while Dave and Keith made tea , the womenfolk retired to the art studio or Betty’s where Jan introduced me to some of the basics of the art of printing.( see extra) There is certainly lots to learn and it was both enjoyable and a little scary ( when it came to manipulating some of the sharp knives on a piece of lino!)
As I write , Keith is making bread , Jan is finishing off her piece of left handed artwork, Dave is doing a sudoku puzzle and we are all listening to “ The Rest is Politics. “
Next on the agenda is a game of Mexican train and then an early night .
