A Day Worth Recording

Abbeygate

The gatehouse, and the priory church, is all that remains of the abbey complex that was Malvern's original raison d'etre.  This is the back view.  The building now houses Malvern Museum which, given it's small size and difficult shape, is incredibly well organised and covers everything from the abbey period, through the Victorian 'detox' phase, through to the wartime radar research.

The 'abbey' now only exists in name, for example as the "Abbey Hotel" to my right.
