Folkestone sunset

I expected to take photos of the sea views from the Leas, but by the time we had waited for the fog to lift, done the essential errands and taken the car to have its battery checked, it was getting dark. This was the sunset as viewed from the forecourt outside Nationwide tyres, as I awaited the bad news. We did stroll a little way along the Leas after this, listening to the waves crunching on the shingle beach below the cliffs, watching the last colour fade from the sky and seeing the French coast twinkling on the horizon. It was very peaceful, with just a few dog walkers and a few people hurrying home from work, and the path is well and prettily lit, but P was anxious about restarting the car, so we didn't linger for long.
