Mosaic Bench

on the overlook above Mill Creek Falls in Garfield Park Reservation, a tribute to the people who once lived in this neighborhood.  MS and I quickly walked 4 miles from the management building to Mill Creek Falls and back.  It was just above freezing and the sun was shining, so a great day for a hike.  This park is adjacent to some old industrial and residential areas.  For safety reasons, we would not walk outside of the park trails.  Everyone we met today was very friendly.

Extra shows the falls and some items of interest. I was tickled to show MS some things she never looked at closely before.  There's a grouping of 8 huge rocks with quotes on them.  Most have been turned over and some defaced, but I was able to photograph two.
---Top left says: "I think having land and not ruining it is the most beautiful art that anybody would ever want to own."  Andy Warhol.   (Note the beer can...ugh...)
---Bottom right says:  "We have not inherited the earth."
There are also several installations of iron works here and there depicting animals, bicycles, and various industrial trucks.
