Tomatoes

I got on very well with my late mother-in-law and we shared the same frugal nature. One of the best gifts I ever gave her was a cookbook titled "Use It All Up". It had recipes for all those things you might have a surplus of. 
She did have a much greener thumb than I do and often had a glut of home grown fruit or vegetables so by the time I inherited the book it was well used and minus the cover.
This year our tomatoes have actually produced so I called up the recipe for Chicken Cacciatore. It is so much better with tomatoes fresh from the garden.
Probably the hottest day we've had this summer. About 36C and I couldn't wait to get into the pool this evening.
