Silly Snails

This is a pretty silly blip but seeing it's the first Saturday of the month (and I have nothing else) I'll post it in memory of Admirer.

It's difficult to grow basil in Blackheath (too cool) but it is usually prolific at the farm. However despite several attempts and some pretty heavy duty covering it kept getting eaten this year.
Apparently it's snails which can get through just about any barrier so I've made a very untidy, but so far effective, contraption using netting and an old wire basket.
