Snowdrop Season

Spring is round the corner
but you still need coats and hats.
(And if you're just six inches tall
beware of lurking cats!)

Snowdrops in the garden;
through cold days they have slumbered
below the surface, now they show
that winter's days are numbered.

So let us all rejoice
now that February is here.
The shortest month can surely offer
little more to fear

before we're celebrating spring
and leaving off some layers,
while bikes and swings and scooters
please happy outdoor players.

A Silly Saturday blip to celebrate snowdrops coming up in the garden, and to remember the SS instigator, our blipmate admirer.

Today's proving a lot brighter than forecast, despite brief showers. Mr PP continues doing well, although not sleeping well at nights, lying on his back. This morning was his third ten-minute walk, with another due this afternoon. Thank you for all your kind good wishes, stars and hearts; Mr PP appreciates them, too.
